Happy Sweet Sketch Wednesday! Well Sketch 17 was again a really fun sketch to work with, and thankfully I took a picture of this before Neal decided to splash some of his pop on it!! Men!! Anway, the papers I used are all from Close to My Heart, the Sweet Home collection. The stamps are from Unity's September kit, and then I added some navy buttons with some wine colored twine. The ribbon is actually wine colored also, even though it doesn't look that way. I colored the image in with markers, added some Stickles and more Prisma Glitter on top of that, and then pop-dotted it. Of course the rest of the Design Team will amaze you with how this sketch inspired them, and so do join us today, we'd luv to have you join in on this sweet fun!

Thanks for visiting and for all of your great comments!

Peace and Luv,
Need I say more? Well I had lots of inspiration for today's creation. First of all, the sketch is from Tuesday Morning Sketches and the challenge was to make a card to fit a business size envelope, but Melissa did say that she wanted to "see someone re-proportion this size to be a standard size card", so here ya go. Second, the sponsor for her challenge is My Grafico, which is where I recently got this vacuum digital image, and who is also having a challenge to win some of their cool stuff. Thirdly, I got this image because of Stephanie at Papercrafter Thoughts, who I CASED because when I saw hers it immediately cracked me up! Now that I've come full circle, I'll tell you that the main base of this card is a striped textured piece of Bazzil cardstock, which I also used for the center that was cut out with a circle nestie. The DP is from DCWV's LaCreme stack, and then the other two cardstocks are SU's Tempting Turquoise and Only Orange. I added some rhinestones, tied a button on with some black floss and also pop-dotted the image. It's kinda vintage, and in hindsight I'd probably make the vacuum a little bit bigger next time, but I hope you like it.

I hope your Tuesday was a good one, thanks for stopping by, I appreciate your comments and please take care!

Peace and Luv,
Hey there and Happy Monday! Today I'm actually doing the Mojo Monday Sketch on a Monday, how about that?! The stamp is from Unity's September kit, colored in and then I used some Stickles for the curls of steam. The papers are all from Close to My Heart's Twitterpated collection, and then I pop-dotted the sentiment and added a ribbon. Not too bad I guess. Fun colors anyway. Since the sketch is obviously supposed to be made with a bigger square card, I did have to change my card a little bit in order to made everything fit.

I'm so glad you stopped in to visit today, and I appreciate your comments very much. Take care!

Peace and Luv,
You know that Bon Jovi line - I'm feeling like a Monday, but some day I'll be Saturday night? Well here it is Saturday, and I'm just getting to the Mojo Monday sketch this week! I have to say that I'm pretty frustrated that I can't seem to find enough time to get to the cardmaking that I want to do anymore, so thanks for hanging in there with me if you are here visiting today. This sketch was fun to work with and the papers are from Close to My Heart, the Grace collection, with some SU Creamy Caramel cardstock. It's probably a big no-no to combine these two companies papers together, but it's my money, and I use what I like, so there! I just have to say that I don't agree with all of the rules that Stampin' Up is coming up with lately for my demonstrator friends, it's just not right. Anyway....the stamps are from the Unity August set and then the big scallops were made using punched out circles. Then I added some ribbon and rhinestones, and that's it.

Last nite we had a surprise birthday party for one of my cardmaker group friends, and we had a ball! She was so surprised, and we laughed a lot!

Did anybody watch the new Grey's? How about Eastwick and Flash Forward? I'm such a tv junkie!!

This morning I went for a mani-pedi, and I had asked the gals there to paint a dragonfly on my toes last time and they couldn't figure out how to do it. Well they had been practicing and today they were ready for me! So like it or not, here's a pic of my big toe....hehehehe!!

Have an awesome weekend, take care, and thanks so much for visiting with me for awhile!

Peace and Luv,
Hello BOO-tiful and Happy Twisted Thursday! At Shirley's 2 Girls the twist to go along with the sketch is to use the word BOO somewhere on the card. Well to start off with, this cutie of a stamp is from none other than the Girls, and so what I did was stamp it once in black, and then once in orange. I punched out the center, and then pop-dotted the orange one on top of the black one. I colored her face in, gave her some red lipstick, and then gave her some diamond earrings. Then I used a medium size scallop round punch on the main image, and orange ink around the outside of it. All of the papers, besides the white and black cardstock, are from Michael's/Recollections Halloween stack. The polka dot scalloped octagon is a nestie. I'm disappointed that you can't see the ribbon slide very well. It's black with rhinestones all around it, and I got a bunch of these in different shapes at the convention I went to on Sunday...luv them! Then I just used a scrap of purple ribbon to tie it up. I think she turned out pretty cute, and I warned you that Halloween was my favorite holiday, so I hope you're not getting tired of it already! Shirley's 2 Girls sure do get you in the mood for it with all of their great new Halloween stamps, so go to their What's New page to see what I'm talking about!

Happy Friday-Eve, thanks for keeping in touch and take care!

Peace and Luv,
Happy Sweet Sketch Wednesday! The sponsor of today's challenge is Dustin Pike! If you aren't familiar with his stuff, you should really check out his blog to see the things he comes up with. He also has freebies, so it's always worth the visit. Well this hoppy little Dustin Pike froggie is already in the mail to a special someone, and he sure was fun to put together. He's all colored in with markers and pop-dotted. The cardstocks are SU's Baja Breeze, Kiwi Kiss and Brilliant Blue that I used a scallop border punch on. The DP's are also SU, the Kiwi Kiss designer pattern pack. The flowers are from Close to My Heart, the buttons are SU and the ribbon is Michael's. Do you see the dragonfly on the ribbon? It took me awhile to get this bow just right, so that you could see it! As always you should join us this week to show what your idea is for this sketch. The rest of the Design Team is sure to inspire you, so head on over to Sweet Sketch Wednesday now to check them all out!

Thanks so much for visiting and take care!

Peace and Luv,

Picture day and loooonnnnnnggg post warning!! First of all I'm going to show you the cards that we learned how to make at our Stampin' up par-tay Saturday that our faboulous demonstrator Jan came up with!! This first one was made out of a brown paper lunch bag! We used the new plastic cups that they have, and it was so much fun to make, and of course you know I had to get some of these!

Next was a beautiful card with some gorgeous pinks and blues and greens, and this stamped flower was fun to learn too!
Then, the 3rd card was made with these beautiful butterflies, and pearls and a scallop border punch and more awesome papers! We are always amazed and happy with the things that Jan comes up with. Brenda was the hostess with the mostess, and there was lots of food and fun for everyone!

After the party, and since we were all there already, we had our card swap. If you remember, the card that I posted yesterday was the one that I made for them, and so here is a pic of the cards that I received. Such talented ladies I'm dealing with here!!!

So here are some of these talented ladies that I speak of from this morning at breakfast before we went to the scrapbook shopping convention. Aren't they gorgeous?!!

So next here, are some pics from the resort that this shopping extravaganza was at. I luv doorways and walkways, and arches, and this path I thought was amazing.

There were also a couple of fountains that I thought were pretty too....

So last, and certainly not least...Neal's daughter Vanessa's 10th birthday was Thursday. She doesn't really like cake of any kind, but LUV's ice cream sandwiches. So I stacked a bunch of them up, and used whipped topping for the frosting. Then I just sliced some fresh strawberries up and put them around it. Her favorite color is orange, so I got some icing and put a big V in the middle of it. I thought this was a great picture, and I think she liked it!! ;)

So that was my weekend and I'm just glad I remembered to finally bring my camera along and take some pictures.....Whew I'm tired!!

Peace and much Luv!!!
Ghouls just wanna have fu-un!!! Hey there and Happy Saturday! This card is for my card swap today, and I just finished 12 of these babies, why I wait til the last minute I don't know! The image, inside and out, are from Pink Petticoat. I used some white chalk on it, and that's about it. They are from a new set that she just released called Spooky Doodlies. The base cardstock is a ream that I got from a paper supply house called Sunflower, and then I used some SU Perfect Plum with it. I was going to make the Boo card I made the other day but didn't have enough of that paper, so this layout is similar to it. The DP's are from DCWV's LaCreme stack. The ribbons and rhinestones are all Michael's, and then the main image is pop-dotted. Hope they like it!

Well I've got to get on the road, we're having a Stampin' Up cardmaking party before the card swap, so I will have a fun filled afternoon with the gals. Tomorrow we're going to a scrapbook convention, after we meet for breakfast, so I'm looking forward to finding even more new goodies to work with.

I hope your weekend is going along good. Thanks for visiting, and take care!

Peace and Luv,
Happy Twisted Thursday! It's another Halloween challenge, but that's ok with me, it's my favorite holiday! The cute stamp I used is from Shirley's 2 Girls called Domino's Hugs. They have another great challenge, and the twist this week is to use any Halloween embellishment. I just picked up these Halloween brads from Michael's, along with this paper, and the gorgeous orange ribbon is also from Shirley's 2 Girls. My favorite embellishment to use on any card, for any holiday, is ribbon. I have lots of it, and never seem to get enough!

I hope you like what I've cooked up for ya today, and that your week is going along good. It's Friday-Eve, and that's always a good thing!! Take care and thanks for visiting!

Peace and Luv,
Happy Sweet Sketch Wednesday! Today's sponsor of this challenge is The Cutting Cafe and that is where I got this fun Halloween ghost word art! I printed it out on some DP from Memory Boutique, then I printed it out again on some white paper and cut out the ghosts and then I pop-dotted them on top. I used a border punch with plain black cardstock and put that behind it. Then the black and white stripes and polka dots DP is from DCWV's All Dressed Up stack. The cardstocks are SU's Perfect Plum and More Mustard. I put some major bling on this one with 2 full strips of clear rhinestones, then I happened to find a purple brad and put some of the orange cardstock behind it that I punched out with a small circle punch. The ribbon is from Doodlebug Designs. Sheesh, that was a lot to say! It was all worth it in the end, and I'm real happy with the results. You should really check out what the rest of the design team has come up with this week and join in on the challenge today to win some extra special stuff from The Cutting Cafe!

Take Care and thanks for visiting!!

Peace and Luv,
Happy Monday! I had some fun with bunches of different patterned papers tonite. All Stampin' Up, some from the Thoroughly Modern set, and some from the Bella Rose set. The pretty cardstock is Tempting Turquoise, and the fun stamps are from Unity, the August kit. I used 3 different sizes of circle nesties, a scallop circle punch, markers, some Prisma glitter, pop-dots, sheer ribbon, and 3 rhinestones for the bling that I think it always needs. This card is for Mojo Monday's Sketch 104.

I hope your Monday was good, mine was fine, but I swear it could have been a full moon today with some of the weird stuff that happened! Crazy!! Well, it's time for me to get some rest , I sure am tired! I appreciate you visiting, always enjoy your comments, and hope that your week is getting off to a great start!

Peace and Luv,
Happy twisted Sunday!? Another catch up challenge card, this one from Shirley's 2 Girls Twisted Thursday challenge! The twist was to use purple and orange. Well since my own bug is red, I couldn't color this one anything else, so I had to somehow work it into this color scheme. This stamp is from Shirley's 2 Girls and it is called Love Bug. They have lots of super fun Halloween stuff out, so you really need to go on over to their place and do some shopping! So I colored the flowers orange with purple centers and used a DP from ATD Wildflowers stack. The cardstocks are all SU; Lavender Lace, Pumpkin Pie and Ruby Red. It's good to know that I'll look good wearing a purple sweater with a purple and orange scarf when I'm driving! Notice the little witch hat on the puppy? Hehe....hope you like it!!

Peace and Luv,
Happy Saturday y'all!! I found a new challenge blog, called Dare you to Digi Stamp, and they have Friday challenges. Since I've got just a few digital stamps (that's supposed to be funny), I figured I could easily join in on this challenge. It was a fun layout to work with too. The digital image I chose to use is from Pink Petticoat, and I'm making this card for my Chemo Angel. As some of you may know I'm a Card Angel for the Chemo Angels program. Well my gal is graduating!! I'm so happy to hear the good news for her and her family! So this card will be for her, along with a little gift to celebrate. The papers are from the Making Memories Vintage Hip collection. The image is colored in and I added some glitter to all of the flowers. It's a fun and sparkly card, and I hope she likes it.

I hope you're having a fun weekend, and I appreciate you stopping in to visit. I've got some cardmaking challenge catching up to do this weekend, so be sure to come on back and visit tomorrow! Take care!

Peace and Luv,
What's the buzz? Happy Sweet Sketch Wednesday! This card is for Sketch #14 and the sponsor of the winning card this week is Digi Shack! They have some really, really super cute stuff, including this little honey bear! Isn't he the cutest? I colored him in, of course, with markers, and then cut him out with a circle nestie. I also put some rhinestones in the centers of the flowers. The ribbon behind it has stitching on both sides, and so I pulled on one side of it to gather it up around it. That wasn't the hard part - getting it all glued down to stay put was! The DP's are from SU's Raspberry Tart set. Then I added some thin green ribbon, with a little sheer ribbon too, and a silver bee charm - that's my favorite part! So what do you think about joining in on the fun this week?! Head on over to check out what the rest of the Design Team has done, cuz if I didn't inspire you, they surely will! I luv working with these gals!

I hope your 9-9-09 day is as sweet as can be!!

Peace and Luv,
