It's time for another Hambo Hoedown challenge, and this week it's a sketch challenge that's just too much fun!  This is such a cute Little Indian that I thought would be super adorable for a Thanksgiving card.  I actually took the picture before the glue on the buttons was even dry I guess....here's to late night/early morning crafting!

There are some changes happening over at the Hoedown, so be sure to check them out and join in on the fun this week with us too!

Fall into Autumn ~

Wednesday, September 25, 2013

Happy Sweet Sketch Wednesday 225!  I will never tire of the beautiful colors of Fall, and I tried to incorporate them all here.  This image would be me if only there were enough trees in Phoenix that I could do this with!  I surely miss all of the wonderful colors of Fall that so many of you get to enjoy, but my memory is still pretty good at this point so at least I have that!  I will always remember walking through the leaves as a kid in Wisconsin and how beautiful it truly was.

The sponsor of this week's sketch challenge is Eureka Stamps, and this image is one that really jumped out at me, especially with that cute little puppy peeking out through the leaves.  Reminds me of my little fur baby!

The Grand Prize winner this week will receive 5 digital stamps of the winner's choice...woot, woot!  Join us!

You are Fabulous! ~

Tuesday, September 24, 2013

Doesn't she look like Lovey from Gilligan's Island?  I'm certainly showing my age right there, but anyway Happy Tuesday to you!  This is another Bugaboo Image that cracked me up and I had to have.  Does anyone else out there still have any of this paper; it's the Garden Party Stack from like 2009?  It was a 12x12 stack back from when I attempted to scrapbook, but at this rate using just the little snippets that I use for cards, I'm going to have it a few more years too.  Good thing I like it!  Have a fabulous day Darling!

80's Flashback Blog Hop! ~

Friday, September 20, 2013

ET Phone Home!!   Yes that movie was circa 1982 and melted all of our hearts, didn't it?!  Ahhhh the 80's, I remember most of the those years (ahem), but I was in my 20's then, and I sure would go back and re-live it all over again in a disco ball heart beat!!

Welcome to "Hambo's Time Machine" sponsored by Hambo Stamps! Today Hambo friends and the Bacon Bits Design Team are bringing you fun creations that depict something cool from the 1980's!  It might be our favorite book, something in the news then, a fashion fad, a song, or something that really stuck out to us in looking back. If you arrived here from Deanne's Blog you are in the right place!  If not, you might want to start back at the beginning at the Hambo blog to make sure you are eligible for the hopper prize!

A prize will be awarded to one participant whose comic strip-themed creation tickles the Bacon Bits’ fancy in a hammin’ jammin’ way!  Another prize will be awarded randomly to a hopper who comments on all of the blogs along the way. The winners will be announced on the Hambo company blog, Talk to the Ham, on Wednesday, September 25, as well as at the Hambo Hoedown challenge blogWe love comments anytime, but the deadline for prize entry comments is Sunday, September 22 at 5 PM CST. Don't miss it!

My creation is reminiscent of that adorable "phone home" part of the movie, and if you've forgotten it here is a little film clip:

Now swing on over to Bridget's Blog for another great trip back to the 80's that will jog your memory -- or show you something you missed!

To My Favorite Halloween "Chiclet" ~

Thursday, September 19, 2013

Are you getting ready with all of your Tricks and Treats for the best upcoming Holiday eva?!!  Wouldn't you just love to walk around with this purple hair for just one day?....hehe!

Well today's creation is two-fold;  first of all the challenge at the Hambo Hoedown is to use pop dots.  Easy peasy right?  I think I pretty much use them everyday and have popped up Wee Henrietta Witch on this tag.  We'd love to see what you create, so come on over and join us!

Secondly, for the challenge at the Catered Crop this week they are taking a little break from making cards and focusing on the things you might give with your cards - the packages.  So that means tags, bags, and treat boxes or anything fun to give a little treat to someone.  Since I was one of the winners of the Sentiment-al challenge, yay me :), that means I was invited to join the other Top Chef Guest Designer's for next Sunday's Quickfire.

Have a terrific Thursday and Happy Friday-Eve!

Other Stuff - ProMarkers, cricut/tag, edge distresser, twine, pop dots, burlap bag, and white glue.

Sweet Sketch Wednesday #224 ~

Wednesday, September 18, 2013

Happy Sweet Sketch Wednesday to you!  This week's sketch is sponsored by DigiStamp Boutique and I've got my favorite little gal named Rosie here with us today.  Truth be told that flower in her hair wasn't planned until I discovered a spot of pink marker next to her head and had to cover it up, but I'm happy for the mistake at this point because she sure looks cute!

The Grand Prize winner will receive 6 free digital images of their choice....!!  Be sure to join us with your creations to get in on the fun for the chance to win this fabulous prize!

A message from the DigiStamp Boutique owner:
All images/designs are created and copyright owned by Sally-Ann Hancock. My work means the world to me - it allows my passion to draw and create, to fit with my family life too - often the inspiration for my designs. Hope you enjoy as much as I enjoy creating.

You Make my Heart Flutter ~

Sunday, September 15, 2013

What an awesome dragonfly stamp this is to create with, and I don't know why I haven't thought of embossing the Cricut flowers before but I really like how they turned out.  It was a light bulb moment for me!  A pre-Fall natural feel to this one I think.  Happy football Sunday!

All products used, except for the craftworkcards candi in the centers of the flowers, are Close to My Heart ~ Thanks Ronah!

Never too Old to Party! ~

Thursday, September 12, 2013

The challenge this week at the Hambo Hoedown is decorative scissors, which I know
a lot of you probably don't use anymore but I use this one all. the. time!  I counted and I have 5 of them, and now I feel bad for the other 4 so I'll have to make an effort to include them in on the fun very soon!

This is for a Denver Bronco fan, hence the blue & orange outfit.  That little smirk on this handsome guy's face makes him a new fav of mine!
